Kim brings high energy and a unique background to her work at POTS. As an undergraduate, Kim attended William Paterson University, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in TV/film production. Her first career was in in the magazine, television and commercial industry. A 2000 graduate of the NYU Master’s degree program in Occupational Therapy, Kim has practiced occupational therapy in a variety of settings including early intervention, public education, sensory gyms, out-patient psychiatric settings and hand therapy clinics. She has earned certifications and taken advanced coursework in sensory integration, DIR/Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears, visual perception, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism and eating disorders. Kim integrates technology such as the Wii and iPad into her treatment sessions to increase children’s motivation and interest in therapy. Kim commented, “I love using play to increase each child’s performance to achieve their goals.”
Kim enjoys traveling and spending time in the mountains with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid game player, especially cards and board games, which fuels her competitiveness at POTS events!
