Lauren’s love for treating children is evident in her high energy, creativity and imaginative sessions. She is motivated by children’s excitement and even the smallest improvements in children’s developmental and social skills. 

 

A seasoned occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience, Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Magna cum laude

from Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women in 1993 and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1997. Lauren has worked with clients across the lifespan from toddlers to the elderly in a variety of  settings, including hospitals, schools, home-based settings and private pediatric clinics. She began her career in  pediatrics and returned to her roots, working with and encouraging growth in children. 

 

Lauren embraces continued education and  trained with Jan Olsen, the founder of the Handwriting without Tears program. Most recently Lauren has completed her training with The Play Project, a specialized approach to improving language, social skills, behavior, development, and play skills of children with autism.  

 

Lauren has three children of her own and understands her families’ struggles with work/ life balance from her own experience. When Lauren is not working, you will find her with her family at the beach, taking silly photos, dancing with her husband or singing Karaoke.
