Nermin Soliman

A former belly-dancing and hip-hop dance instructor, Nermin has been known to incorporate dance into her therapy sessions to ramp up coordination, body/space awareness, motor planning, strength and confidence while having fun! With a rich background as an occupational therapist with children and adults and five years as a Kindergarten teacher, Nermin strives to find creative ways to boost skills and instill confidence, to make a lasting impact on their lives.  Her deep understanding of teacher-student dynamics enables her to be especially effective infusing the classroom with occupational therapy strategies that help children navigate school.

Nermin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Psychology at Kean University, and her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After five years as an early childhood educator, she was introduced to OT during a professional development day, made a career change and now enjoys contributing to children’s development in new ways.

In her free time, Nermin enjoys quality time with friends and family, exercise, traveling, trying new foods and “do-it-yourself” creative projects.
