Core/Trunk Strength
Core strength is essential for the progression of nearly all developmental skills . A weak core can make regular tasks difficult for children such as sitting in a chair, holding a pencil, tying shoes, and engaging in play activities. Signs of a weak core can include slumper or slouched posture, resting arms on table and head in hands, difficulty sitting still and frequently shifting position, or “W-sitting”. Do some of these at home exercises with your child to help them increase their core strength and success in their daily activities:
1. Crab walks

2. Floor activities while lying on belly

3. Bridges

4. Planks

5. Table Pose
