Auditory integration training

(AIT): A controversial technique of sound stimulation for decreasing hypersensitivity to sound, improving listening and verbal communication. Usually provided by an audiologist or speech-language
therapist twice a day for 10 days. Afterwards the child is not allowed to use headphones for a year.
