Adaptive Swim Instructor

Jayda has been working with children for many years and brings nearly three years of experience as a swim instructor. She combines her lifelong love of the water with a deep passion for teaching, creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Her teaching style is gentle and play-based, allowing each child to progress at their own pace while building confidence, trust, and essential water safety skills. She meets each swimmer where they are, adapting lessons to match their pace and needs. She is also a Swim Whisperers certified through Swim Angelfish, equipping her to support children in the water using adaptive and individualized strategies. Her goal is always to ensure every child leaves the pool feeling accomplished, supported, and eager to come back.

In addition to her swim instruction experience, Jayda has experience in summer camps and home-based settings, where she’s used DIR Floortime to connect with children of diverse personalities and abilities. Her long-term goal is to become a pediatric occupational therapist, and she brings a whole-child mindset to every interaction.

When she's not in the pool, Jayda likes to spend time with loved ones, go hiking in nature, and listen to music. An athlete at heart, she grew up playing a variety of sports and still finds joy in staying active and connected to movement. She brings the same focus, enthusiasm, and care into everything she does.
