Dr. Egert’s passion and life's work has been centered around educating and providing services to children with varying abilities and disabilities. Dr. Egert is trained as a speech-language pathologist, a learning specialist, and an educational evaluator with a doctorate in special education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her work as a school administrator included 14 years as Director of Special Learning Services at The Elisabeth Morrow School, and 8 years as Director of Student Support Services at The Moriah School. She has also served as a resource teacher and a speech-language pathologist. Being dual certified as both a speech-language pathologist and a learning specialist allows Dr. Egert to conduct uniquely comprehensive evaluations that get to the root of a child’s language and academic functioning. Her strengths and experience include strong partnerships with school personnel, parents, and students. Dr. Egert has lived and worked in Bergen County for over 35 years.
