Occupational Therapist

devyn@potsot.com

With her fresh perspective and dedicated approach to pediatric occupational therapy, Devyn is the newest member of our team. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Scranton in 2022, Devyn continued her education at the same institution, completing her Master's in Occupational Therapy in 2023 and then joining a private pediatric occupational therapy practice.

Devyn brings enthusiasm and innovative techniques to her therapy sessions, conducting comprehensive evaluations for children ages 2-18 and developing individualized treatment plans that address each child's unique needs. Her specialized training in GoMAP has expanded her expertise in infant and toddler feeding difficulties, adding to her growing therapeutic toolkit.

Devyn discovered her passion for pediatric therapy early in her career, working with children with a variety of diagnoses who have challenges in self-care, handwriting, sensory processing, regulation, modulation and gross and/or fine motor skills.  Her approach combines evidence-based practices with creative activities that engage children's imagination and motivation.

What truly sets Devyn apart is her exceptional ability to build rapport with clients and their families. She believes that before any meaningful therapeutic work can begin, families need to feel that she is genuinely on their team. To that end, she dedicates time to understanding each family's unique dynamics and what matters most to them, ensuring that therapy is relevant to and enhances their daily lives. Additionally, she actively collaborates with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals to optimize goals and ensure carryover into all aspects of a child's life. Parents have often remarked on Devyn's ability to transform challenging therapeutic exercises into joyful experiences that their children look forward to.

With her warmth, energy, compassion, and dedication, she strives to create a supportive environment in which children feel safe to explore, challenge themselves, and celebrate their progress.
