Hypersensitivity

Oversensitivity to sensory stimuli that are typically ignored . Easy overload, distress and distraction to specific sensory input, such as sound, smell, texture or lighting, especially in sensory overwhelming environments, such as a busy classroom or mall, may overwhelm hypersensitive children. Hypersensitive children may feel sensation faster, longer, or more intensely than expected.
