Speech Language Pathologist

Laura’s love of theater and performing lead her to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. In her years of working as a speech therapist, she’s found a passion in child-led and play based therapies as well as sensory integration to encourage her clients to reach their fullest potential with their speech and language goals.

Laura graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist by the American Speech and Hearing Association and is licensed in the states of New Jersey and Maryland. She has worked closely with clients ages 0-21 years in clinical, school and home health settings. She is trained in PROMPT level one and Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems, high tech and low. In previous contexts, Laura worked closely with Occupational Therapists, and now loves incorporating sensory integration into sessions. She has extensive experience working with the autistic community, as well as with clients with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

In her free time, Laura enjoys going on hikes with her fiancé, playing Pickleball and keeping up with new and improved ways to help children communicate. She most recently went to Denver, CO where she made it to the peak of a “fourteener” (mountain), 14,115 feet above sea level!
